• Alter Asset Management's Property-Management Team Wins TOBY Award for Kaplan University at Cypress Creek Concourse

    Alter Asset Management's Fort Lauderdale property management team, led by its partner, Cushman & Wakefield of Florida, has won the Building Owners and Managers Association's (BOMA) Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award. Samuel F. Gould, Alter Asset Management President, announced the award, for the 200,000 SF Kaplan University offices at the 45-acre Cypress Creek Concourse office park.

    Sam Gould has been President of Alter Asset Management for 30 years, assuring the strategic and operational stability of the firm over at least 5 recessions and numerous business cycles. He is responsible for the company’s 13,500,000 SF management portfolio of office, industrial and healthcare space, half of which is owned by third-party investors. Since 1973, he has instituted a culture within AAM that focuses on the long-term value of the asset.

    Harvey Alter leads AAM’s business development and tenant-relations team. In addition, he manages a number of the most important asset-management initiatives including rent collection; loss control audits; and environmental compliance. Growing up, Harvey watched his Dad build The Alter Group into one of the country’s leading real estate developers.

    Judy Privett

    Judy Privett
    Judy Privett's 30-year career in property management makes her the ideal candidate to carry total operational responsibility for The Alter Group's Southwestern properties. Recently, Judy was honored by Arizona Business Magazine as one of its “Who's Who of Arizona Women in Business". She received the award for the "Best Managed Industrial Property" while a property manager at CBS Property Services.

    Peggy Spizzirri

    Peggy Spizzirri
    Peggy Spizzirri has significant operational responsibilities for Alter Asset Management's owned and third-party managed Atlanta and Chicago portfolio. Over her 30 years with AAM, her duties have encompassed all aspects of lease administration; revenue management; selection and supervision of independent contractors; direction of AAM on­site staff; budget preparation and review; new facility commissioning and as well as initiating and monitoring on-site staff performance.

    Christine focuses solely on downtown Chicago and has been involved with The Alter Group’s 17-story, 385,000 RSF flagship River North office building, 20 West Kinzie, since its initial construction in 2000. Christine was an integral part of the launch and opening of the property, as she worked side by side with the development team.

    Dawn Wiechowski

    Dawn Wiechowski
    Dawn Wiechowski has been with Alter for more than a decade. Initially a Senior Property Administrator, she demonstrated her outstanding abilities at lease administration and was ultimately promoted to Property Supervisor. She currently handles the Einstein Medical Arts building, a major healthcare complex in Philadelphia developed by Alter+Care and now owned by HSRE.

    Joanne Cusack
    Joanne Cusack, CPM , joined Alter Asset Management in 1993 as a Receptionist and worked her way up to Property Assistant and then to the role she occupies today -- a Property Manager overseeing 334,000 SF.
